The Lord of The Rings Rulebook
|
Imagine participating in the battles described in The
Lord of The Rings books and films. Imagine leading a
force to victory or defeat in the service of Good or Evil.
Imagine entering the rich world of Middle-earth and deciding
its fate. The Lord of The Rings Strategy Battle Game allows
you to do these things and more in the fantasy realm of J.
R. R. Tolkien.
The
Lord of The Rings Strategy Battle Game puts you in command
of a force of miniatures. With this group, you wage battle
against other players' forces across fantastic tabletop
battlefields. Win or lose, all battles and scenarios make
for entertaining challenges where you try to out-think and
out-play your opponent.
To start down the road toward enjoying this exciting game
and hobby, you'll need a few things. First, and most importantly,
you'll need some models. Next, you'll need to find an opponent
- either a friend who lives down the street or someone you've
bumped into once or twice at your local Hobby Centre. However,
before any of this can take place, you'll need to get your
hands on the rules. These rules govern the gaming system
you'll use to play the scenarios. There are two paths into
The Lord of The Rings Strategy Battle Game rules system.

Mines of Moria
|
The first is the Mines of Moria boxed set. If you have
never played a battlegame before, or you would like to collect
the plastic miniatures with scenery included, then the Mines
of Moria boxed set is for you. Inside you'll find the
basic rulebook that explains the rules, a comprehensive group
of scenarios designed to teach the rules as you play, a pile
of plastic miniatures featuring all The Fellowship members,
a horde of Moria Goblins, and a mighty Cave Troll –
plus dice, rulers, and plastic scenery.
The second way to get into the The Lord of The Rings Strategy Battle Game is to purchase the hardcover
rulebook outright. If you are familiar with battle games,
this massive book is the path for you.
Once you have the rules, it's time to start collecting
miniatures.
